The world’s biggest hackathon is set to happen in the Philippines on October 30-31, 2019! Impact Hackathon will be the biggest gathering of Coders, Entrepreneurs, and Tech Leaders hacking for disruptive solutions to world problems.

Who Can Join?

Only groups (teams) are allowed to join this hackathon event. Each team must have at least two members and at most five members. Not every team member should be a coder. Some team members can be focused on business development, finance, creatives, etc. The teams can join the Hackathon in Smart Araneta Coliseum or in any of our more than 20 locations from around the country.

Judging Criteria

Teams will be judged on these four major criteria. Judges will weigh the criteria equally. During judging, participants should try to describe what they did for each criterion in their project.
1. Technical Viability/Difficulty (30%): Technically impressive, Difficulty solved, Used resources components (eg. Azure) Did the technology involve AI, Data, Interface… etc
2. Business Viability (30%): Insightful valuation that this prototype or MVP (Minimum Viable Product) is viable for local business and scaling.
3. Social Index (25%): Did the team solve a particular problem? Did they articulate the solution to the Jury Board?
4. Design & Learning Stretch (15%): Did the team stretch themselves to learn something new? What kind of projects have they worked in before or domain expertise contribution?

What to bring in the 24H Hackathon:

Hackathon House Rules:

  1. Open to all Programmers, and non-coders, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts from all ages. Participants below 18 years old should have their parent’s consent.
  2. Participants must complete the registration process
    • Impact2050.com
    • Agorize Platform will be announced during the event.
  3. There are three Categories: Students, Professionals and another category with different judging details are scale-up startups.
  4. This is on the spot coding marathon. Fresh codes. Open source downloads can apply to framework only. The event permits designs beforehand, such as digital mockups, open source frameworks and anything else available to everyone, but make sure to keep designs within those limits.
  5. Registration of Participants will be from 7am to 9am at your designated venue. SMART Araneta Coliseum gates will open at 7am.
  6. Please comply to your technical riders (Things to bring). Some venues have shower rooms or washroom for your hygiene and personal calls.
  7. 24 Hours Hackathon starts from 12 noon to 12noon the day after. (October 30-31) Start of Simultaneous pitching is at 1pm on October.
  8. Team composition should be Students only or Professionals or Startups only. No Mix.
  9. DEMO your MVP. No PowerPoint slides allowed except for illustrating your problem-solution and team members. Demo Presentation is set at 3 minutes and Jury Board Q&A is set at 2 minutes. Total Presentation is set 5 mins only.
  10. Sleeping and dozing off are allowed fill in slack time of team members while they are in queue for their task. Utmost safety should be carried in arranging for space.
  11. During the hackathon food, drinks and places to sleep will be arranged for the participants. Hardware and sleeping gear will have to be taken care of by yourself.
  12. In the case that you disobey the house rules, you will be denied access to the event terrain.
  13. Decision of the Jury Board is final
