Impact 2050™ is a multi-year integrated and innovative entrepreneurial programme that aims to catalyze the impact entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Asia Pacific. 

 

Impact Hackathon is the banner event of Impact Hub Manila that served as a passion project of the organization. It aims to create sustainable digital solutions through a 24-hr reverse hackathon where problem statements from respectable partners are hacked by innovators across the Philippines.

      Digital app that improves the daily life of a patient with debilitating disease.
    2. Gauge if users are reading emotionally depressive content online and if they do, suggests a curated list of happier articles for them to read using A.I.
    3. Medical thread application translating medical communication to documentation
    4. Communications platform that delivers health information from EMR to patients in real time
    5. Mapping out of malnourished members of the communities and tagging of information.

Smart Cities

      1. Crime/Suspect: Efficient and cost-effective means of identifying the location of violent events like gun crime and car crashes
      2. Transportation: Technology solution to traffic in Metro Manila.
      3. Information and interactive Platform that will provide upscale waste management or access to information of renewable energy. 
      4. How to measure solid waste management in Manila Bay. 
      5. How to identify terrorism in online financial documents.
      6. PESO Job Matching Online 
      7. Urban Development and Zoning 
      8. Identification of New Quezon City growth hubs and its potential 
      9. Data Mapping of Medium and Large Enterprise and Corresponding incentives to be given. What is fair to both LGU and Private? 
      10. Socialize housing projects and partnering with the private sector for land development (creating townships) how to engage them?
      11. Creation of pedestrian malls in QC, will this work? 
      12. Land value capture and its prevailing problems
      13. Smart City proposal are encompassing, what should QC prioritize? 
      14. Data Management and Monitoring for Market Vendors Registration 
      15. Data Management for SME Enterprise Map 
      16. Monitoring on availed social services for QCitizens 
      17. Easier Data sharing and monitoring within the QC City Hall

Judging Criteria

Teams will be judged on these four major criteria. Judges will weigh the criteria equally. During judging, participants should try to describe what they did for each criterion in their project.
1. Technical Viability/Difficulty (30%): Technically impressive, Difficulty solved, Used resources components (eg. Azure) Did the technology involve AI, Data, Interface… etc
2. Business Viability (30%): Insightful valuation that this prototype or MVP (Minimum Viable Product) is viable for local business and scaling.
3. Social Index (25%): Did the team solve a particular problem? Did they articulate the solution to the Jury Board?
4. Design & Learning Stretch (15%): Did the team stretch themselves to learn something new? What kind of projects have they worked in before or domain expertise contribution?

Hackathon House Rules

  1. Open to all Programmers, and non-coders, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts from all ages. Participants below 18 years old should have their parent’s consent.
  2. Participants must complete the registration process

    • Agorize Platform will be announced during the event.
  1. There are three Categories: Students, Professionals and another category with different judging details are scale-up startups.
  2. This is on the spot coding marathon. Fresh codes. Open source downloads can apply to framework only. The event permits designs beforehand, such as digital mockups, open source frameworks and anything else available to everyone, but make sure to keep designs within those limits.
  3. Registration of Participants will be from 7am to 9am at your designated venue. SMART Araneta Coliseum gates will open at 7am.
  4. Please comply to your technical riders (Things to bring). Some venues have shower rooms or washroom for your hygiene and personal calls.
  5. 24 Hours Hackathon starts from 12 noon to 12noon the day after. (October 30-31) Start of Simultaneous pitching is at 1pm on October.
  6. Team composition should be Students only or Professionals or Startups only. No Mix.
  7. DEMO your MVP. No PowerPoint slides allowed except for illustrating your problem-solution and team members. Demo Presentation is set at 3 minutes and Jury Board Q&A is set at 2 minutes. Total Presentation is set 5 mins only.
  8. Sleeping and dozing off are allowed fill in slack time of team members while they are in queue for their task. Utmost safety should be carried in arranging for space.
  9. During the hackathon food, drinks and places to sleep will be arranged for the participants. Hardware and sleeping gear will have to be taken care of by yourself.
  10. In the case that you disobey the house rules, you will be denied access to the event terrain.
  11. Decision of the Jury Board is final
